Experience the timeless allure of French chansons with internationally acclaimed singer Tess Merlot in Rendezvous à Paris. Before returning to Europe, Tess wraps up her tour with an intimate performance at The Duke of George, joined by her stellar band: Kevin McDonald (guitar), Sean Lillico (piano), Pete Jeavons (bass), and Asha Henfry (flute).

Lightning struck from the first time Tess heard the master of chansons, Jacques Brel, sing. She was captivated from that moment on. After performing  hundreds of shows, her passion is still as strong as ever, enabling the essence of this music to remain, allowing the soul to reach the surface as only French torch songs can. With iconic classics from Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour as well as her own catalogue.

At home in the Netherlands, Tess  is a star in her own right with songs like ‘Mon Paris, ‘La Haye’ and ‘Rien à perdre’ receiving extensive airplay on numerous popular Dutch radio stations. She has also starred in performances at jam-packed venues all across Europe. Her most recent highlight was a sold out headliner show at her hometown The Hague, together with the Hague’s Symphony Orchestra, which resulted in her first live album. 

Whether Tess takes to the stage with her band or an entire orchestra, an irresistible joie de vivre is a given, while chansons in their purest form are sprinkled across the room. Sometimes they’re stripped down and pure, other times strong and bold- whatever it takes to do them justice. Every time Tess allows her chansons to do their work, magic appears. In short: Tess Merlot is the perfect addition to any room that doesn’t mind a little wine being spilled and hearts being filled.
