After a recent tour supporting From The Jam, mod legends Purple Hearts announce a special one-off concert at the 100 Club celebrating 46 years since the release of their seminal 'Frustration' single.
Formed in 1977, Purple Hearts were one of the main bands from the 'Mod Revival' era along with The Jam, Secret Affair, The Lambrettas, & The Chords. Their debut single 'Millions Like You' hit the UK charts and was swiftly followed up with 'Frustration'.
1980 saw Purple Hearts released their debut album 'Beat That!' along with a single from the LP 'Jimmy', which also reached the UK charts. Two more singles 'My Life's A Jigsaw' and 'Plane Crash' came out before the band split in 1982.
Squire are one of the iconic groups from the 'Mod Revival' late 70's/early 80's era famed for 'Walking Down The Kings Road', 'Jesamine', 'It's a Mod, Mod World' and more.
Kent mod/britpop group Jel have released two albums 'All The Blinding Menace' (1998) and 'Sleeping Giant' (2007).
