Long Island Alzheimers & Dementia Center (LIAD Center) is driven by a mission toimprove the quality of life for those living with Alzheimers disease and related formsof dementia and their caregivers. LIAD is unique on Long Island, providingcomprehensive support for diagnosed individuals and those who care for themthrough our Caregiver Respite & Support Programs-including our social adult dayprogram that is available 6 days a week with transportation, In-Home Respite care,resources and referral support, caregiver training and support groups & individualpsychotherapeutic counseling. Our programs focus on abilities, not on disabilities-onwhat people can do happily and productively, and not on what they can no longer do. As a local not-for-profit organization, proceeds will directly serve dementia families in our Long Island community Music can be a powerful tool for connecting with and helping individuals with Alzheimers disease, offering benefits like reduced agitation, improved mood, and enhanced memory.
