Janet Kay made history as the first British black female artist to enter the UK Top 40 with a reggae single. Her iconic falsetto on"Silly Games", produced by Dennis Bovell, became a cultural milestone and remains one of the most cherished tracks in Lovers Rock. With its soaring vocal line and hypnotic groove, the song cemented her status as a pioneer of the genre and a symbol of British reggae’s golden age.

Carroll Thompson brought a soulful intimacy to Lovers Rock with her inimitable voice and emotive songwriting. Her debut album, featuring enduring classics like "I'm So Sorry)" and "Hopelessly in Love", sold over a million copies and was recently named The Greatest Lovers Rock Album of All Time by Mojo Magazine. Blending gentle rhythms with lyrical depth, her music defined the sound of a generation.

Together, these two legendary artists shaped the very essence of Lovers Rock. Their live performances are a masterclass in melody, harmony and heartfelt storytelling, offering a rare chance to experience the timeless elegance of British reggae performed by its most iconic voices.
