Anass Zines captivating voice, with its North African influences, accompanied by traditional instruments such as the oud and the gumbri, subtly blends with Arthur Pneaus deep voice. The latter introduces his hybrid African influences through his kora, which he mystifies with electric effects. Composer and producer Did Miosine enhances the ensemble. He brings his knowledge and mastery of machines, synths, and the codes of electronic music. The synthesis is explosive. Together, they create rich and generous music, a journey between the Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the West.Zar Electrik is a tribute to tribal cultures. Zar is an ancient ritual that allows healing through trance by accessing the spirit world. In the same way, Zar Electrik immerses us in their universe where trance and dance reign supreme. Their music echoes in our bodies, the electronic layers resemble mantras, the voices invocations. The whole thing is akin to a tribal rite and allows us to reach an altered state of consciousness. Zar Electriks music is experienced on the dancefloor to bring us into a liberating and cathartic ritual trance.
